trees and leaves No. 3
Other themes punctuate my work as a painter, but as trees and leaves, too, tend to a serial development. This notion of series can relieve themselves from the constraints of "subject" of "what to paint? "And encourages reflection and possible practices of painting:" how to paint? .

Trees and leaves No. 2
The necessity of matter has crept gradually into new compositions by through painting, collage and color. The bark and leaves are obtained by layers of spots, fingerprints, scraps of paper. The elements are not reported, but seem to emerge from this "compost pictorial". Reds that dominate these compositions accentuate the idea of the organic materials and energy obtained.
Furthermore, patterns made of wire, inspired by the plant world, are shown on the compositions and extend beyond the frame. They are another way to approach the design: how to draw and write a line, a shape in a surface. But by invading their role, they ask real limits of the framework and emphasizes the notion of a work in progress, constantly evolving.

trees and leaves No. 1
Since 2003, a job that tends to become serial was established after a long period "without painting. A forest of tree trunks and leaf litter have invaded the walls and floor of the workshop.
Large formats have emerged to achieve draw tree trunks and leaf size. Made first in a very graphic elements are black and white compositions where is banished any sense of depth. Preferred are the elements themselves, as taken from their environment, cut and transposed into the studio, on canvas. They acquire the status of DRAWING and a hieratic character strengthens their presence.
