be in March in the Nord Pas-de-Calais

"Places to be" brought out a special anniversary issue, a prelude to an exhibition in March Sandelin. See the article in La Voix du Nord.

The anniversary edition of "Places to be" born there twenty-five years, was released in late November. Carte blanche to author Michel Butor and artist Peter Wolf, who died in January, it is a synthesis of what the magazine claims audomaroise since its inception. And the promise of new life. For twenty-five years of the magazine, Regis Louchaert, creator of Places to be wanted to be him. Michel Butor - who has already worked at least twice - writer at work protean Renaudot prize in 1957 for the amendment, poet, essayist bulimic researcher who has ceased to bind literature, photography, painting, sculpture. "He kept writing to transform, to work on language, to vilify what is wrong with this world" , Regis Louchaert exalted. "His mother was born in Saint-Omer, but there is never gone. He was born in Mons-en-Barœul, complete Madeleine Carcano, the collaborator Regis Louchaert. It was an opportunity for our review, but not regional regionalism, to bring the two departments. That was also the motive. "

Michel Butor has found the weapon. Collaborate in the review, of course. But after meeting with Madeleine Carcano in February, it appeared sensible to use that free hand to pay tribute to Peter Wolf, an artist friend of thirty years, died in January. His companion, the painter Mylène Besson, opened their studio to the magazine places to be. "When an artist dies, it remains his work. Anything that can be done about him, it's wonderful "," she said. After six months of gestation, the magazine was born. Result of a meeting "extraordinary" with Michel Butor for Madeleine Carcano. The Apotheosis Louchaert for Regis? "A highlight, he prefers to say. I am a man in the shadows, I'm happy to put this issue in light, even under strong light. It is a sacred journey, next year it'll be twenty-six years we publish. " According to a philosophy similar to that of Michel Butor. Conjugate the verb and the look, give a place for artists. "This anniversary issue, I titled" Words and eyes. "It is my hope to always share." He will be able to do so.

Michel Butor will to his homeland in March 2011

The journal is a prelude to a major exhibition on artists' books in conjunction with the National Library France (BNF), March to May next year, the museum Sandelin. Culminating with the arrival of Michel Butor on native tongue for the opening of the exhibition and a conference, which will be given as part of the People's University of Audomarois. "It's good that it also leads to exposures" says Mylène Besson.

For places to be, this number is almost a second start. "A second wind," said Regis Louchaert. Make magazine, is a laboratory of the senses, including that of the heart, emotion. It is a job search for life. "While words and looks just published Regis Louchaert already working on the sequel. Lights appear in January and summer 2011, a new number will be called is another - I was in homage to another - and leave the spotlight to women in literature.

A fort is threatened with destruction

Since December 18, 2010, is now a layer of snow that hides from view the small fort north of Fort Sere de Rivieres Mons-en-Barœul. After having long been protected at the initiative of our predecessors, by a dirt berm, which was known as the little fort just ripped at work in the framework of ANRU. Too bad no prospective study has been undertaken before embarking on real estate transactions on land rich in heritage. There is however no source of information and local history buffs on the town for those wishing to learn. It is never too late before irretrievable. Besides this battery is a nice set of terminals that seem both disturbing.

During his studies in Fine Arts in Lille, it is devoted primarily to painting and drawing. She started teaching art in order to pursue his painting career. "I spent all my life to my passion, "she claims. The creation engine is the love of art ... no money! "

past decade, production of oils on canvas or collage is exclusively dedicated to Venice " When you love the water, sky and art, there is an incomparable happiness in Venice. I burned a lot of portraits and still lifes when I decided to redirect my output. I have no regrets! When we do well, we like nothing! " Bénédicte Logié hung in the ballroom of the Fort 120 large collages. If each of them evokes Venice, in part because it feeds on items won from the city of the Doges: pieces of torn poster on the walls. "There's something practical in the system of public display of the city of Venice, says Benedict Logié. At the bottom of each poster, municipal stick a stamp with the date of entry into force and the date the sign must be removed, which corresponds to the amount paid to the city by the advertiser. Once the posters are out of date, I anticipate the work of City staff. I took off and won in a big bag that I carry with shoulder strap. At the end of the stay, it made some extra pounds. I had to substantially increase my package luggage with the airline to bring in the North . Two or three times a year, Benedict made his Logié posters stores in Venice and then returned to the North, and glues together the agency under its own vision. Ultimately, the 120 collages form a poetic journey that delights the visitor.

Works Veronica Zimmermann

Veronica Zimmermann is professor of contemporary needle lace and bobbin. It is primarily an exceptional artist. Some some of the works we had the pleasure to present to the public during the European Heritage Days on 18 and 19 September 2010 in Mons-en-Barœul. From left to right and from top to bottom: Blue Night, Carnival, Fly Me, Movement of water and Congetta. His studio is located in Flanders Méteren.
Let him speak: Lace, which is not an invention within the meaning of the term, but results from the evolution of different techniques, continued during the twentieth century, to adapt to art world in which it operates, including the contemporary textile art. Thus the current work of the artists moved toward a "homecoming" namely: the contrast between transparency and opacity, the first concept of the word "lace" . I chose to focus my research in this field and deepen the technique of crossing the son, by reconsidering the basic points, and using other materials and colors. I try and let live wire and the material by capturing their every whim to achieve a harmony between the solid and empty. Many students followed me in this research and also learned how the art of lace still contains many mysteries and resources it is our responsibility to disclose. is an artistic practice Changing to the twenty-first century.
