Works Veronica Zimmermann

View site

Veronica Zimmermann is professor of contemporary needle lace and bobbin. It is primarily an exceptional artist. Some some of the works we had the pleasure to present to the public during the European Heritage Days on 18 and 19 September 2010 in Mons-en-Barœul. From left to right and from top to bottom: Blue Night, Carnival, Fly Me, Movement of water and Congetta. His studio is located in Flanders Méteren.
Let him speak: Lace, which is not an invention within the meaning of the term, but results from the evolution of different techniques, continued during the twentieth century, to adapt to art world in which it operates, including the contemporary textile art. Thus the current work of the artists moved toward a "homecoming" namely: the contrast between transparency and opacity, the first concept of the word "lace" . I chose to focus my research in this field and deepen the technique of crossing the son, by reconsidering the basic points, and using other materials and colors. I try and let live wire and the material by capturing their every whim to achieve a harmony between the solid and empty. Many students followed me in this research and also learned how the art of lace still contains many mysteries and resources it is our responsibility to disclose. is an artistic practice Changing to the twenty-first century.

Clamydia Test Inconclusive

For a living heritage

Heritage Days will be marked in Mons-en-Baroeul by two initiatives: a tribute to Delgutte by ceramist Historical Association (our Wednesday edition) and a day devoted to "lace in all its forms" by the association Eugenie.

Desbarbieux Florence, who chairs the association, worked for several months with key members, including the loyal secretary, Anne Marie, to find lace representative of contemporary creation. "We want to show that the lace is part of the heritage of the region but it remains as an object Created for contemporary artists. "So Veronica Zimmermann works will be presented in the local park Barœul. A lace will be there to give demonstrations and the public will have the opportunity to learn about the delicate art and carry the piece performed. The school of lacemaking and the Bailey Bridge Workshop fairy participate in this event.

"We built this show from the perspective that we advocate in Eugene, said the founder, Jacques Desbarbieux. The testimonies of the past, the old Stone is well and talk about it but always with the aim to link with our time. History is not static, it lives. By being open to the world today that we can attract young people ... "A spirit is evident even in how to organize tours of Fort de Mons, the first of which took place Saturday. It is indeed equipped with its iPad Jacques Desbarbieux leads the visit so as to show visitors the documents, references to various As the journey into the walled enclosure. Lots of information, certainly, but coated with humor. Explanations of the past but extended by information on the building today. "The whole thing is to be organized. In Eugene, we are already preparing exhibitions for two or three years to come ... "• J.-MG
